To maximize the benefits and to extend the life of your duvet, use a duvet cover on the duvet, which should be washed periodically.  It should be shaken out and fluffed daily when you make your bed. On a nice day, the duvet can be refreshed by hanging it outside out of direct sunlight. Stains can be removed by spot cleaning.
